017. Watercolor Light House
Paint a cabin in a snowy winter forest, illuminated by warm light from within, step by step with watercolors. In this work, you will learn techniques such as strong warm-cold contrast (the golden light of the house against the purple-grey shadows of the forest), wet-on-wet atmospheric forest depth, light reflection on the snow, the steps of the path leading to the house, and loose, dramatic tree trunk brushstrokes. The contrast between the dark forest and the warm light of the house adds depth to the composition and an emotional "homecoming" atmosphere. Intermediate–advanced level. Progress at your own pace; reference images included.
